Military Wives Official Video

January 21, 2012

‘Wherever You Are’ is a moving love song written by Royal Wedding composer Paul Mealor for the choir to sing at The Royal British Legion’s Festival of Remembrance. The music is set to a poem compiled from letters to and from the servicemen and their wives on a 6-month tour of duty in Afghanistan. It is the raw emotion of the song that has touched so many of the British public.

Living in the UK, I had seen this vid before – still brought a tear to me eye watching it again though

It’s easy to forget that when soldiers go to war, those left behind who love them have their own battles to fight !

Thank you for posting, I have loved my own man in uniform for almost 30 years now..and he has left and returned safe, by the grace of God, six times. He is due to retire in a few months and although it was so difficult to see him go, those expereinces have made us who we are today. Thank you again.

Thank you for 30 years of service and sacrifice. Society owes a debt to your family that we can never repay. I am so grateful that he came home to you, and that he has had a loving spouse who has loved and supported him during those 30 years of service. I hope that you can recoup some of those long days apart after his retirement. You both have my gratitude and respect.

Beautifu! I believe all those men and women who are serving this country whether home or abroad, some who entered as not much more than children and forced to grow up in ways few can imagine, they hear this song no matter where they are carried on the wind. In hearing this song in their spirit, it is something for them to hang on to and give them a measure of comfort.

No matter where you are, the spouse and famlies of the military men and women are giving too and caring and hurting and waiting for their loved ones to come home. This is absolutely beautiful.
